Netsweeper is pleased to announce the Netsweeper 8.2.9 GA Release. This release focuses on stability improvements and introduces new Account Permissions for ‘onGuard Student Dashboard’ and ‘onGuard Debug View’. Customers running 8.2.8 GA should upgrade to 8.2.9 as the 8.2.8 release introduced a small issue for Demand Report generation for Sysop Accounts. All customers are recommended to upgrade to the 8.2.9 GA release.
Netsweeper reminds customers EL6 extended support ended March 2024, so all customers who have not migrated already should plan to do so as soon as possible for security related purposes. The Netsweeper version 8 series will only be available on the EL8 platform, and customers are expected to migrate to the EL8 base in the 7.2 release before planning the upgrade to Netsweeper 8 or above.
