Client Filter 10.10 EA Release (Sept. 28, 2022)

Experimental Windows Client Filter bandwidth and performance improvements have been made. This must be enabled using an experimental flag. Talk to your SE for more information to join the Windows experimental performance BETA program.

Config Edit GUI support has been added for setting the uninstall password which supplements the -u argument options to force an uninstall password on install or via WebAdmin Client Filter Brand Settings.

ConfigEdit now removes prior flags with -o, even if no -f is provided, reverting flags to the default.

The Android Client Filter Policy Server did not stay properly set when configured in the GUI.

Advanced Settings/ConifgEdit showed 'root' as the sample user.

Mac extension logging now uses the file system: /Library/Application Support/filter/logs/nscf_ext.log.

MacOS did not perform proper per user filtering when the username had upper case and invalid characters. The Netsweeper Client Filter cookie was not properly sent back to the System Tray icon and serialized.

The nsfilter-EA and nsfilter-GA did not get updated to a release that did not exist if the specific version was not previously made.

Possible build corruption could occur when building custom brands. We have improved validation of the branding and building process to make sure we don’t create corrupt packages.

The 9.60 Windows Client Filter did not filter IPv6 due to changes made to the default WinDivert rule. 9.70 and above fix this issue.

Experimental new Windows Filtering Platform driver has been added to the Windows Client Filter. This driver can be optionally enabled for experimental testing in the Config Edit or Settings Windows. Please talk to your SE on how to join the Windows performance BETA program.

The old Layered Service Provider (LSP) has been removed. Client Filter 10 and above will no longer support Windows Vista and older.

When decrypting SSL on the Client Filter 9.x and below, a large response header could hang the data randomly. This could cause some websites to not render properly or consistently.

nMonitor tray icon enable/disable did not automatically hide/show the tray icon when using the configuration GUI only. This works with Remote WebAdmin Push Config.

A Windows internet connectivity monitor has been added.

The Windows SQLite3MultipleCiphers has been updated from version 1.3.4 to version 1.5.2 and the third_party_licenses have been updated with proper library names.

The Windows openjpeg library has been upgraded from version 2.4.0 to version 2.5.0.

The Windows zlib library has been upgraded from version 1.2.11 to version 1.2.12.

The Windows tiff library version has been upgraded from version 4.3.0 to version 4.4.0.

The Windows platform now uses the OpenSSL library instead of libressl 3.4.1.

Google Drive for Windows has been added to the 'Filtering Exceptions' List.

The bcrypt library was missing the license in the readme.
