The Netsweeper Client Filter 13.10 EA is now available, marking the inaugural release of Client Filter 13. This version emphasizes a unified configuration and diagnostics framework applicable across all client filter platforms. Netsweeper is dedicated to enhancing the User Interface within the Client Filter, ensuring a consistent experience across all platforms.
With this update, customers can easily conduct diagnostics and verify configurations using the same interface, regardless of the platform. Additionally, the fixes included in version 13.10 will be backported to the 12.70 GA release. We have addressed several issues introduced by latest OS update, including the Chrome Mv3 white screen and filtering hang-ups, as well as a fix for MacOS 15 Sequoia, which previously prompted users for every screenshot taken. The nMonitor client for onGuard has introduced performance optimizations and stability enhancements aimed at resolving specific edge cases identified for iOS.
The Client Filter 13.10 release has been designated as an Early Adopter (EA) version. Therefore, we advise customers to begin rolling out the 13.10 Client in their test-lab environments before utilizing it in production. Your feedback on the test findings related to your business use cases will not only offer invaluable insights but also expedite the transition of Netsweeper CF 13 to General Availability (GA).
We look forward to rolling out numerous advancements and improvements to the Client Filter 13 in the coming months. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upgrade to this release, please reach out to Netsweeper Technical Support at support@netsweeper.com.

Changelog 13.10
| Ticket Type | Ticket | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Bug | CF-587 | The Chrome MV3 Service worker could become inactive, causing issues with nMonitor and Filtering triggers. A new Keep-Alive method for our service worker has been added to Chrome MV3 extension. |
| Bug | CF-603 | The Chrome branding process did not use the POLICYSERVER_CHROME flag. |
| Bug | CF-605 | The Chrome MV3 Client could display a white page on a few websites, even when the page was allowed. |
| Bug | CF-610 | When we ran the initial OCR scan and we had a match, we did not set the last words causing the matched words compare to not work if the initial scan contained matched words. |
| Bug | CF-611 | The nUpdate Brand push did not parse JSON properly and could crash if no long options were set. |
| Bug | CF-613 | The MacOS 15 Client Filter with nMonitor OCR/Keyboard enabled was constantly prompting users for permission to take screenshots, instead of only prompting once. |
| Bug | CF-618 | The Firefox Browser on Android devices did not request permission for foreground media playback, causing a crash when certain sites were accessed. |
| Bug | CF-622 | When uninstalling the Windows Client Filter, all instances of the new Config tool needed to be manually closed before the uninstall could proceed. |
| Bug | CF-628 | Closing the 'Advanced' Client Filter settings on Windows was causing the service to crash in certain instances. |
| Bug | CF-631 | Android 11 with Netsweeper nFilter was crashing in certain instances when selecting the diagnostics page. |
| Bug | CF-643 | Updated the Chrome Mv3 messaging framework to be more resilient when the extension goes to sleep, which could cause allowed websites to get stuck on white pages. |
| Bug | CF-671 | The Mac installer on Apple silicon was failing. |
| Bug | CF-680 | The Group prefix lookup did not use our internal function to get the proper username, causing the lookup of the Group for the 'root' user, not the logged in user. |
| Bug | CF-685 | Resolved an issue where the iOS VPN App store validation could fail. |
| Bug | CF-697 | iOS Browser nMonitor did not keep track of the active tab in the browser. This would cause duplicate events/screen shots when changing tabs in the browser. Changing back to a tab with detected content would always trigger an additional alert. |
| Bug | CF-630 | Any nMonitor engine could send a corrupt event_data, in some cases appending categories to the event_data; causing an invalid Category of '2511250025012502', instead of the correct value of '2511'. |
| Bug | CF-656 | The Chrome Mv3 Client could fail to remove the white screen due to an issue between the content script and service. Integration has been refactored to improve reliability. |
| Bug | CF-683 | We were not adding our key to the manifest.json for the old mv2 extension, causing the 'extension id' to be different. |
| Bug | CF-720 | Netsweeper Client Filter for iOS could crash when Search Keywords were blocked in the 12.60 build. |
| Improvement | CF-583 | The nmonitor_offscreen.html module did not always load, which could result in nMonitor failing to start. |
| Improvement | CF-585 | The Chrome Client Filter extension did not use HTTPS automatically for the WebAdmin URL. |
| Improvement | CF-590 | We no longer merge any 'Brand' Exception Lists with the Netsweeper default Exception Lists. |
| Improvement | CF-596 | Upgraded the Firefox browser for iOS to have the best end user experience and compatibility. |
| Improvement | CF-612 | Added the 'OnDemandUserOverrideDisabled' parameter to our MDM mobileconfig for both the MacOS and iOS VPN Clients. |
| Improvement | CF-627 | The new Client Filter configuration tool will monitor the config and load new pushed values. However, when a field has been modified, we will no longer change it to avoid clearing the change. Note that a pushed field will not be saved. |
| Improvement | CF-646 | The Uninstall Password was not working on Android and iOS. |
| Improvement | CF-651 | The installer's Policy Service popup has been updated to include both the Policy Service and the Brand. |
| Improvement | CF-693 | The Chrome MV3 Client was not using the latest SVN Exception List. |
| Improvement | CF-727 | Released the iOS Browser and VPN with Xcode 16. |
| Improvement | CF-476 | Client Filter for all platforms now has the Filter Settings, nMonitor Settings, Exceptions List, Diagnostics and Request Logs for Windows, MacOS, iOS, Chrome, and Android. |
