WAgent 4.50 GA Release (Apr 06, 2024)

Follow

Netsweeper is pleased to announce the Netsweeper Workstation Agent 4.50 GA release. This release focuses on stability improvements around how we monitor and utilize Registry Keys for Windows, as well as the username formatting within the Chrome WAgent. The WAgent 4.50 build also fixes an issue where the WAgent service would incorrectly use the first provided argument as the application name.

If you have any questions or concerns about planning an upgrade to this release, please contact Netsweeper Technical Support support@netsweeper.com.

Changelogs

Issue Type Ticket Summary

Bug

WA-35

Chrome Workstation Agent did not send the 'UPN Username' to the WebAdmin in the correct format.

Improvement

WA-36

Workstation Agent Windows Registry Keys are now monitored for any change, whether this be local Registry edits or Group Policy Object changes. This makes the Workstation Agent 4.50 function similarly to Client Filter 10.17 and later.

Improvement

WA-39

Workstation Agent will now monitor and use the HKCU and HKLM key Software\Policies\Netsweeper\Netsweeper Workstation Agent on Windows. The HKCU will take priority if both are set.

Improvement

WA-40

The service would use the first argument configured as the application name, this issue has been fixed. Most customers would add -S as the first argument to resolve this
