Summary
Netsweeper supports manually importing Clients from a list through the WebAdmin.
How to import Clients
In your WebAdmin, navigate to Polices > Clients and select the Import button.
In the Import Clients window, choose the desired Field Delimiter type for your import list.
- CSV (UTF-16LE)
- Comma Delimited
- Tab Delimited
- JSON Format
Use the Choose File button to find and select the file you wish to import from.
Choose Verbose Output if you wish to increase the verbosity of any error messaging.
Choose Delete all existing data if you want the import to remove any previously existing Clients.
Select the Import button to proceed.
Page 2 of the Import Clients window provides a preview of the data you are about to import.
Additionally, this window contains an Import Settings section.
Use the Ignore Row 1 checkbox if your file already contains headers.
The Passwords in the File are already encrypted option allows you to upload a file with encrypted passwords.
The If the Client group does not exist setting lets you choose what occurs in such an event.
- Do not import the client
- Create needed group automatically (Please note: only an Admin can use this setting).
- Import such client into the group: (This allows you to specify a Group for such an event).
If needed, you can specify a custom date format.
When you are ready, select the Import button to complete the Client import process.
You will receive confirmation of a successful import, or notification of any errors.
Select the Continue button to return to the Clients window, where you will see your newly imported Clients.
