Please note: this article relates to a legacy issue that only affected MacOS Big Sur.
Summary
Due to changes in the MacOS security settings in the Big Sur release, there are a few more steps involved in installing a certificate. Our Proxy CA Certificate still needs to be manually trusted after installation (this can be done locally, or via MDM) before you can perform SSL inspection.
Steps To "trust" the certificate:
- Open the keychain (use the finder) and search for keychain, as shown in screenshot 01.
- Navigate to System.
- Right-click on com.proxy.netsweeper and choose to trust the cert.
