Introduction
This document explains how schools can obtain the Netsweeper nFilter VPN based Client Filter App using Apple School Manager.
Schools often use Netsweeper to filter inappropriate internet contents, protect students online, and comply with internet safety policies. Since Apple School Manager works with the Volume Purchasing Program(VPP) for your Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, schools usually need both platforms to successfully install the app.
Please follow the steps below to get the Netsweeper Client Filter App on Apple School Manager.
Step 1: Share Your Organization ID with Netsweeper
You need to share your Organization ID with Netsweeper team so they can assign the app to your school account.
You can find your Organization ID in the following location within Apple School Manager:
Sign in to Apple School Manager
- Go to Settings
- Select Institution Settings or Organization Information
Copy your Organization ID and Organization Name , and share it with Netsweeper team (support@netsweeper.com)
Step 2: Enable Custom Apps
Once Netsweeper confirms that the app has been shared with your school account, you can proceed with the next steps.
To enable Custom Apps:
Go to Settings > Organization Settings >Click Custom Apps
- You should find the nFilter VPN-based Client Filter App in the Custom Apps section.
